Christmas is Coming...
Amy did give me a stocking though, which apparently will be filled with presents on Christmas Eve by a chappy called Father Christmas. I was horrified by the size (or lack thereof) of my stocking and repeatedly threw it at Amy in disgust. She didn't seem put off and took some Christmas photos of me anyway.
Aren't they awful!?
This one is of me refusing to hold my stocking for the photo shoot
I've had lots of fun recently
Today I had another playdate with Elvis, it was a lot of fun but he got too hot and tired very quickly. It's a pity that he doesn't have the stamina of a Saluki like me! Our mums were very cross because we attacked a lizard that fell in to the garden, apparently we're meant to respect the local wildlife (prey). I'll have to try to exercise more self control in the future (humans are such spoil sports!).
I made another new friend recently, a Borzoi puppy named Arya who lives with one of Amy's friends. We had soooooooo much fun playing together, but even she couldn't keep up with me! There was another dog at each of her houses, Zamba at the first, and Boris at the second. For some reason, Arya enjoyed playing with the great gallumphing Boris, and I occasionally had to draw her attention back to me by nipping her on the bottom.
Don't I look scary in this one?!

My New Friend
Since my last post I've made a really great new friend, a Greyhound named Elvis. You may remember he was mentioned briefly in my last post. We weren't friends then, I was still a bit scared of him in those days as he is quite a bit bigger than me and a little intimidating. Elvis is Amy's friend's dog, so I can see him quite often- yay!
This is he:
Amy and her friend joke around and call him my boyfriend because I like him so much, but I beg to differ- I could never like a kelb in that way (even if he is quite handsome!). Elvis came over to our house a few weeks ago and we went on a big walk together. Because he is an ex-racing Greyhound, Elvis had to stay on his lead while I did zoomie around him. He didn't seem to mind though, I'd already tired him out from playing in the backyard!
Here's some pictures of us on our outing:
And here's Elvis after I'd tired him out!
A few days ago I went along to Elvis' 'green collar test' which he had to pass so Amy's friend could adopt him. He performed very well, and I was able to meet the white fluffy 'test dog' and get lots of attention from children whilst there as well. I'm so happy that Elvis has been adopted, so we can stay friends for a long, long time! :)
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my new friend, I must leave now to have an afternoon snooze.

What I've Been Up To!
Hello People-who-admire-Salukis,
I have not posted for a while, and I apologize, but I am a busy dog with much to do- it takes a lot of energy looking this dignified and beautiful.
A lot has happened since my last post, including two playdates at Amy's friend's house and meeting the dogs that live there, I've come to the conclusion that I prefer little dogs to big dogs as they are not nearly so intimidating. On my visits I met two big greyhounds, Coco and Elvis, and I couldn't believe how fast they were! It's not every day I come across a canine that can run faster than a Saluki, and I had fun running after them.
I also had a day out to a dog show, which from what I can tell, is some sort of multi-cultural gathering- dogs of all shapes and sizes! Mostly we watched the hound ring, unfortunatley there was only one Saluki in the show, but it was interesting to see so many sighthounds even if the vast majority of them weren't Saluki-beings. I spent some time in one of the Poodle tents whilst sheltering from the pouring rain. I do hate nasty weather, and the wind blowing my ears around. :( There were some good parts of the day, I was able to catch up with my litter sister Precious who was watching the show as well. I was a little shy, but eventually came out to say hello to her. Below is a photo of the two of us.
A few weeks ago, we moved to a new house. There are several really big parks nearby, so I'm really enjoying my walks! There's even an enormous fenced oval that I can use to do zoomies in, it's such fun! You can see here in these pictures how much fun I am happy I am running around-
Here's another picture of me out on a walk, I'd been doing some show practice and mum used a computer program to edit out my show lead.

Greetings!
Hello people!
My name is Bella and I have been living in my new home for a couple of weeks now. My new people are very fond of me (who can blame them!) and I actually quite like them too- though they are extremely strange and sadly don't appreciate my chewing 'their' soft toys!
I came over on an aeroplane, which is an enormous, loud, flying car, a most bizarre and unpleasant contraption. It was a bit strange coming to a new home but it sure was more fun than flying! I have shown everyone my fantastic skills and pouncing and running SUPER fast, which impresses everyone.
Last week some strange humans came over for a 'Harry Potter party' which I don't understand, but involved white balloons with noseless faces drawn on, chocolate frogs, every flavour beans and licorice wands. I am sorry to have to say that the greedy humans did not share- the nerve of it! The excuse was that 'it is not healthy for dogs'. I'm fairly sure chocolate and jelly beans aren't healthy for humans either, but that didn't stop THEM gobbling them up. On the plus side, later that day my new collar arrived in the mail, I look ever so posh in it. :)

Not long now!
I am looking forward to Grizabella (Bella for short) joining our family. She is due to arrive on the 5th of July, (less than two weeks away!!!) and I am hugely excited. Bella will be my first Saluki, a breed I have been interested in for a few years. She was born in January this year, and is from Baghdad Salukis.
I will update when my girl arrives!
